I’m a Swede, I live in Sweden, I work in Sweden and I raise a family in Sweden.
I do have one foot in the US, where I’ve got my best friend and a part of my family.
We try to visit often at least once a year.

When you plan a road trip with a toddler, there are numerous things on your mind from feeding your child to his fashion, hygiene and disturbing daily schedule.
All of these are no doubt important, however, there is one more item that I’d like to add to this list of important must-dos on a road trip.
And that is entertaining your child in the car without the help of an iPad/ tablet.
I remember when I was about 7 months pregnant, I randomly thought, “What will I do for my daughters 1st birthday”?
I mean out of all the things I could think about at 7 months pregnant, such as cribs, travel systems, nursery colors or even preschools, I was thinking about her 1st birthday party.
One night when I could not sleep, I did what I believe any new mom would do and I Googled birthday ideas.
Do you love being outside? Whether it’s a quick walk to the mailbox or a hike through the woods?
Maybe you tried to take your toddler on your latest hike. Or you took them for a swim at the lake. Either way, it didn’t turn out as you’d hoped. Maybe they prefer to see nature on TV rather than in person.
A relationship with nature can be the key to raising a healthy, active child. And it can be the key to protect nature from future mistreatment.
Kids are expensive! I don’t regret having them, but all the clothes, food, and other things they need drain my bank account.
That’s one reason why I like to sew — I can make clothes cheaper than I can buy them.
As an adult, you’re probably used to some form of stress.
What you may not know is that stress can also be a part of your child’s life.
As a parent, it’s important to be aware of your children’s stress levels and stressors and create a space where they can relax and recharge.
Here’s how to create a stress-free environment for your children.
“How do we spell gorilla?”
“Why don’t we see stars during the day?”
“Where do babies come from?”
Having a child can be an incredible experience, but it can also be a difficult one.
No one ever seems to tell new parents everything they can expect to face, and that includes the difficulty many parents face attempting to helping their child fall asleep.
Everyone knows that parents don’t get much sleep, but did you know that your child might find it just as difficult to relax and unwind?
Ah, summertime!
A time for relaxing, iced tea and BBQ’s.
When I think of the word “summer,” my mind gravitates to warm breezes, beaches, and doing a whole lot of NOTHIN!
If you read the words “active toddler” and wondered if that applied to your little one, let me save you some time.
It doesn’t.
However, if you read the term “active toddler,” snort-laughed, and thought something along the lines of “yeah, try toddlernado,” or “I hadn’t realized terrorizing the villagers was an activity” this post is for you.
